John Bosco Camp has been a special place for me since I first attended camp in the late 80’s. I returned in the 90’s to join staff and returned for several seasons in various roles. I took many lessons from camp into a career in outdoor recreation and education, running and assisting on educational adventure tours from Northern Saskatchewan to as far away as the Amazon and across the Pacific. I have come to realize how truly unique and special Bosco is. John Bosco Camp provides experiences that are exceedingly rare to children and youth who are ready to be challenged and profoundly inspired by exploring and travelling through the wilderness. No other camp offers the same depth of learning or engagement with nature.
Now a fulltime farmer, I still devote some time to teaching and volunteering in outdoor education. I am thrilled that my daughter along with many of her friends and cousins have also discovered Bosco and are returning to camp each year. I am excited to bring my experience and knowledge in outdoor education and nature-based tourism to the Bosco community. I hope to help develop and maintain the best possible programming for kids and youth who are ready to be inspired for life to learn, travel, and play in our great Canadian wilderness.
