Wilderness Skills (WS)

Ages 12, 13, 14

Have you ever cooked over an open fire?  Pitched your own tent? Paddled a canoe across a lake while watching the Northern Lights glisten off the water? If this sounds like something you would like to try, Wilderness Skills is for you. This introductory program is designed to give campers experience in all aspects of camp. Campers will spend about half their time in camp learning wilderness survival skills, canoeing skills, hiking skills and orienteering. The rest of the time they will put these skills to use on an out-trip in surrounding Narrow Hills Provincial Park.

Wilderness Skills is the preferred prerequisite to the Senior Out-Tripping Programs.
