I grew up on our family farm in rural Manitoba and I am the youngest of my three siblings. I have spent the last four years in Saskatoon earning my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan. Every summer, I find myself being drawn back to Saskatchewan’s beautiful North. St. John Bosco Wilderness Camp has become a second home and I am happy to be returning for the ninth summer in a row.
Though this is technically only my ninth summer at camp, Bosco has been a part of me and my family for generations. Both my parents, grandparents and countless other relatives have spent their summers here. This year will mark my sixth summer as a staff member and during that time I have had the opportunity to lead almost every program we offer. Last summer, I had to opportunity to experience ALE a second time – – only this time as group leader! Some of the most memorable moments and friendships of my life have come from my involvement with Bosco.
Although my time leading out trips has come to an end, having the position of director is a new chapter and an exciting challenge that I cannot wait to take on! I’m looking forward to another great summer at St. John Bosco Wilderness Camp! See you there!
