2017 Spring and Fall Programs
Spring Programs are available May 29, 2017 through June 28, 2017
St. John Bosco Wilderness Camp is situated in the Narrow Hills Provincial Park, approximately 150km northeast of Prince Albert. Operating as a public summer camp in July and August, our focus in the spring and fall is on school and youth groups and family camping.
We offer a wide variety of activities to enhance your camping experience. In our main camp area, enjoy activities such as canoeing, swimming, sports, archery and Naturelore. Explore the nearby forest on day or night hikes, overnight hikes, stargazing, or sunrise experiences. Your days are filled with fun and adventure, but there’s also time to soak up some sun on the beach. You can watch the sun set while listening to loons or sit quietly beside a glowing campfire reflecting on the day’s events. You can choose all of the activities or only a few.
$55 per person per day
Partial days are charged at a rate of $50 per person per day
A visit to St. John Bosco Wilderness Camp is truly a unique experience. The outdoor camping experience allows you a chance to re-discover yourself and see others in a new way, or to build group or family closeness. Your group will be warmly welcomed and our competent staff will strive to accommodate your every need. Come join us!
Use our facilities for a day, a weekend, a week, or as long as you wish. Programming can be as structured as your group desires. We can provide full programming, including meals, accommodation, group leaders, and all camp activities, or you can use our facilities with only a minimal number of our staff on site
$65 per person per day
We also offer two off-site group camping programs:
Wilderness Out-Tripping Skills (WOTS) is a backpacking exploration of our northern forest. While learning skills with a map and compass, the group explores the Narrow Hills eskers, valleys, creeks and lakes. Campers are given the opportunity to camp outdoors, cook over open fires, develop wilderness survival skills and enhance personal qualities.
Canoe Out-tripping Skills (COTS) is a challenging, fast-action canoeing program held on the beautiful lakes and river systems of northern Saskatchewan. COTS includes instruction in canoeing, packing food, outdoor cooking, and many other wilderness skills.
Bookings can be made by phone or email. Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. The camp office can be reached year round.
Dates will be held for 30 days, by which time we should be in receipt of a signed application form and booking deposit.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required 30 days prior to your booked dates. Payment in full is due following your stay at camp.
Make cheques payable to St. John Bosco Camp. Forward all payments to our Saskatoon address. You will be sent a registration package (camper forms, health forms, and “what to bring” list).
